The Webkinz Christmas Carol (2016) Title Card

November 11th, 2016

The Webkinz Christmas Carol is the Holiday themed feature film of the Webkinz Franchise from Webkinz Studios.

Storyline[]

One day, all the Webkinz are getting ready for Christmas Eve. Felix, Valerie and O'Reilly are looking forward to having Lucky and the visitors join the party, when Cincinatti wished to see some snow on Christmas Eve before the other Webkinz arrive. Then Felix decides to tell them all a story of "A Christmas Carol".

The story begins on Christmas Eve in the early years, when a greedy dog named Ebenezer Scrooge (played by Jack the Black Lab) was walking towards the counting house. He rejects his nephew, Fred (Lee the Lemur) and his invitation to Christmas dinner and dismisses two gentlemen collecting money for charity (played by Lucky and Frogger). When his employee, Bob Cratchit (Doug the Black and White Cat), asks Scrooge to give him some time off on Christmas Day to spend time with his family, Scrooge reluctantly agrees. After Scrooge hitched a ride back home, he suddenly encounters the ghost of his business partner, Jacob Marley (played by Conrad the Tree Frog), who died seven years earlier, bound in heavy chains. Marley warns Scrooge to change his wicked ways or be doomed to the same fate he had suffered. Before leaving, Marley informs Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits.

At one o'clock, Scrooge is visited by the Webkin of Christmas Past (Googleberry), who takes him back in time to his early life. They visit his time as an employee under the friendly Fezzywig (Bill the Lemon Lime Gecko), who throws a Christmas party. Scrooge saw his younger self as a puppy meeting a young black poodle named Isabelle, whom he falls in love with. Their romance didn't last long when Ten years later, Isabelle releases him from the mortgage on their honeymoon cottage, after he developed his obsession with wealth. Before she leaves a heartbroken Ebenezer, the last words she said to him were "I'm sorry, Ebenezer.". Scrooge sadly begs the spirit to take him home, which he does, but not before reminding him that he fashioned these memories himself.

At two o'clock, Scrooge is then visited by the Webkin of Christmas Present (Pappi the Schnauzer), who takes Scrooge to Bob Cratchit's house. Scrooge saw that Bob's family is preparing their short dinner, and Scrooge starts to take pity on Bob's ill son Tiny Tim (Phineas the Orange Cat), whom the Spirit informs that if things don't change for the family, Tiny Tim will die. He then takes Scrooge to the house of his nephew, Fred, who's having a Christmas party. Fred and his party guests raise a toast to Scrooge in spite of his cold demeanor. The Spirit and Scrooge then stopped at the cemetery, just as the spirit started getting older. Scrooge asks if spirits lives are short, in which the spirit replies, that his very brief life will end when the clock strikes midnight. Scrooge wanted to know what will happen to Tiny Tim, but the spirit tells him that the third spirit will have the answer, before he disappears laughing.

Lastly, Scrooge was visited by the Webkin of Christmas Future, who allows him a glimpse of what would happen in the future. Scrooge witnesses a group of business Webkinz discussing an unknown colleague's death, claiming that they would only attend the funeral, if lunchtime is provided. He then spotted a talk show host, Quackers, who talks to his guests about how a deceased animal would refuse to spend money after making money. Scrooge was then teleported to Bob's house, where it was revealed that Tiny Tim had died and the Crachits mourn him. Scrooge is then escorted back to the cemetery, where the Ghost points at a neglected grave, revealing Scrooge as the animal who died. Distressed by this, Scrooge begs him to tell him if he still has time, only for the Spirit to reveal himself as Rad the Love Lion, causing Scrooge to back away slowly but ends up dangling on the root, right before he started to fall. Out of panic, Scrooge vows to change his ways and believe in Christmas from now on, but not before Rad sends him falling into the dark pit. However, back in the present time, instead of hitting the bottom of the pit, he ended up crash landing on his own bed, safe and unharmed.

Realizing that it's Christmas morning, He happily sends Bob's family a turkey dinner. He then ventures out with the charity workers and the Webkinz citizens to spread Christmas cheer in Ohio, and accepts Fred's invitation to Christmas dinner, where he is gratefully welcomed. Later on, Scrooge decides to give Bob a raise and make him his new partner in the counting house, he also reveals that he has brought enough food for the feast. Scrooge and the Cratchit family celebrates Christmas, even Tiny Tim, who has escaped death.

Back in reality, Felix concludes the story on how Scrooge currently started treating everyone with kindness, generosity, and compassion, thus also regaining the spirit of Christmas. Meeko tells him and the other Webkinz that it's snowing outside, and Hailey informs that Lucky and all the other Webkinz are here. The Webkinz began having their Christmas Eve party as Lucky and the gang arrived. Felix then breaks the fourth wall and wishes the audience a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with Phineas (playing Tiny Tim) riding on Jack (playing the now redeemed Ebenezer Scrooge) saying his famous quote "God Bless Us, Everyone!", thus ending the film.
