The Lion Guard is a 2016 animated series based on the television movie, "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" and the 1994 Disney feature film "The Lion King". produced by Disney Television Animation and Disney Junior, The series premiered on January 15, 2016. The first 2 seasons of this series take place in the middle of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. However, the third and last season takes place during and after the end of The Lion King II. Sadly, the final episode of the final season was set to premiere on November 3, 2019, ending the show after 3 seasons.
