The General Series 6000 Sound Effects Library is a professional sound effects library released in April 1992 by Sound Ideas. It is notable for being "the world's largest digital sound effects collection". Like The Hollywood Edge's The Premiere Edition Volume 1, this sound effects library is somewhat popular (especially across Canada and the United States, along with many other countries). This library contains 40 CDs with 7,546 sound effects.
