September 17, 1983 – October 12, 1985
The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show is a 1983 animated series produced by Charles M. Schulz (now becomes owned by Warner Bros. Television)
Storyline[]
Formerly confined to the comics section of the newspaper and occasional TV specials, the Peanuts gang now stars in its own weekly cartoon. The episodes mainly follow the goings-on in the printed comics, with Charlie Brown still not getting any respect, Lucy still being a crab, and Snoopy still living in his strange fantasy world. In most cases, the episodes are directly adapted from the comic strip.
TV Show Intro[]
In season 1, an instrumental tune plays, with a various montage of the Peanuts gang, also featuring clips from some Peanuts specials, like It Was A Short Summer, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, He's Your Dog, Charlie Brown, and It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown. In season 2, the tune had lyrics, with a new montage, and vocals by Desiree Goyette. This was a shortened version of the song "Let's Have A Party" from the 1984 album Flashbeagle.
