Teddy Girls (1969)

Teddy Girls (飛女正傳 fei1 neoi5 zeng3 cyun4) is a 1969 Hong Kong drama film written and directed by Patrick Lung. Produced by Eng Wah & Co., H.K. (香港榮華公司), the film stars Josephine Siao as Josephine Tsui Yuk-ching, a rebellious girl who gets sent to a reformatory due to an emotional injure.

Storyline[]

The film follows a rebellious girl named Josephine Tsui Yuk-ching who gets tempted by a man, while she dances in a disco with her friend. Josephine was sentenced to a reformatory because of an emotional injure. In the reformatory, they were constantly bullied. Later, they got to know each other and became friends, including unmarried mother Ma Bik-shan, bar girl Suzie Wong, and poor drug delivery girl Lee Suk-Chun. The four wanted to leave the reformatory for personal affairs, but To Shu-Yan has always been very caring for the students and always hopes that one day they can be reformed so that they can change their lives and re-behave.
