Originally a UPA sound effect; it debuted in UPA cartoons in the 1950s, but it is unknown which one first used it. In the 1960s, Hanna-Barbera picked up this sound effect and used it in H-B cartoons. In 1993, Sound Ideas picked up this sound effect and added it in the Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library. It is also available on Bainbridge Records - Living Sound Effects Volumes 5-8 as Bainbridge Records, Squishes in slightly lower quality, and on the A1 Free Sound Effects library in reverse, as "Suck 2". This sound is used often in media today.
It's actually a +12 pitched and sped up version of the Disney sound effect, Wet Splats Various CRT052303. The effect is also included in "Squish Gaksters" from the Earshot SFX library.
