It debuted in Hanna-Barbera cartoons between 1950s and 1960s, but it is currently to be announced which one first used it. In 1993, Sound Ideas added it to the Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library. Then, it made its way to other studios (The Walt Disney Comapny, Warner Bros, etc.) and is commonly heard in lots of media.
