Despite the names on the sound effect's description, the greater flamingo's name is actually Phenicopterus roseus with the lesser flamingo's being Phoeniconaias minor. The greater flamingo, however, was once thought to be the same species as the Caribbean flamingo, which does bear the Phoenicopterus ruber binomial name.
