Shelly and Terry is the 2020 film from Drew G. Productions.
Storyline[]
Many years after Lobstar's death, Shelly is at his resting place, sleeping. When his spot was moved by a mean 10 inch Godzilla-like Dinosaur named Toothy, Shelly woke up and demands to know what is going on, Toothy tells him that it is his construction area, and that he doesn't want him snooping around in his business and tells him to get lost, Angry at this, Shelly storms away and decides to find a new resting place. While Shelly was searching, Terry arrives and He and Shelly embrace each other with a hug. Shelly told Terry what happened, and He and Shelly share their conversation as they walk down the fields, Meanwhile, the evil monkey named Primrose is planning to eliminate Shelly, who he blames for sucking Crocky down the drain, even though Crocky's death wasn't really his fault, and Terry.
One fine day, Shelly and Terry meet Sharkey's son, Sharkey Jr., who told them that his father had just heard that, Primrose is up to no good. Terry tells them that they're gonna need backup, so Terry takes them to the sky to see some new friends. They first met Tiger Stripe the parrot who is also flying in the sky, He heard the news and teams up with them. They made a crash landing in Spotty's house, when Spotty finished watching the news, He is able to join forces with them. When Shelly was the first to step outside, he slipped on octopus ink, made by Inky herself. She stops pranking when she saw Shelly and his friends, she joins them on their quest to defeat Primrose. Then a Sting ray named Robbie appears, and offers to help stop Primrose, which they accept. When Primrose saw Shelly and Terry marching to his lair with his heroic friends, he prepares his weapons to finish them off, and leaves his hideaway to catch them. As they head their way to Primrose's hideaway, an Elk named Eddie leads the path to the secret meeting at the porch. At night as they intend to find a way to get Primrose to back off, Karson appears and he was happy to officially meet Shelly and Terry for the first time. Shelly suggests that maybe they would slingshot themselves to Primrose's lair, At first, Terry thinks it may be difficult, but it might work. The next day, Shelly and Terry tested out the slingshot with one of the tree branches, but they ended up hitting the window of Katie's room at the house. When Karson and the others arrived to make sure they're okay, Terry suggested that maybe they can find another way.
Meanwhile, Furry arrives to confront Toothy, and tells him that Primrose is planning to terminate Shelly and Terry. Toothy however, tells him to mind his own business. Furry then warns him not to blame him, when his two friends were turned into dust. Meanwhile, Shelly, Terry and the others set out to stop Primrose, who showed up unexpectedly and attempts to strike Shelly and Terry, but they dodged him and the whole league of heroes managed to escape from Primrose. After Primrose swore revenge against Shelly, Terry and the others, They landed on safe ground, just in the nick of time. Shelly, Terry and the league wonder what to do with Primrose, when Steak the orange cow showed up, Shelly thinks it's a mad cow, believing him to be crazy, but Steak is actually nice and also humorous, much to everyone's amusement. Shelly tries to insist that he's crazy, but in spite of Shelly's suspicions, Terry suggests he take a chance to get to know him and that he might find a solution. Despite Shelly's jealousy, Steak told Terry and the others everything they know about Primrose's plot. Karson asks Shelly if he has got something special in mind, because he hadn't got anything. Shelly told him that he's got his own collection of shells, which sparks Karson's interest. Karson wished to have one of Shelly's, but Shelly reasons why he didn't want anybody stealing them or accidentally shattering them. Terry tells them they're gonna have to stop Primrose at all costs, Karson claims that if it means taking someone's shells as his own, but Terry reminds Karson that it's not about the shells.
Before the gang continued on their way, Primrose showed up on his aircraft and tries to attack them once again. Shelly started to grow even more jealous of Steak, as Karson asks him a simple question, which is "When you die, can I have all of your collectables?", but Shelly claims that he'll always come back alive, and that Karson can't have his collectables, but he can look at them and not touch them. Karson understood and says "Okay, just thought I'd ask." As Shelly and Terry tried to defeat Primrose, His aircraft was blown by the wind with Primrose still in it. The rest of the crew take shelter when the thunderstorm approaches, Primrose attempted to take Shelly and Terry with him, when the wind was blowing him away, Shelly bashes Primrose really hard which sends him falling off his aircraft into a dark alley, causing the aircraft to fall, sending Shelly and Terry straight through the roof of the house to the basement. After the crash, Shelly and Terry ended up in the basement with the lights out. In a fit of jealous rage, Shelly tries to accuse Terry of spending more time with Steak, only for an angry Terry to call him out for his jealousy towards Steak, they both get into an argument, which ends with Terry telling him that he needs to be somewhere safe and furiously flying out of the dark basement, leaving Shelly alone. Shelly bursts into tears over Terry abandoning him, until he saw what appears to be Primrose, which causes him to scream loudly out of fear.
When Terry heard Shelly's cry for help, he felt guilty for leaving him alone in the dark. He tells the others what has happened and the others know that Shelly needs their help. Karson is the only one who wants to give up, while believing that Shelly is dead, But Terry corrects him, saying that Shelly is still alive and that their gonna find him, no matter what happens. Then After giving a glorious speech, Terry and the others prepare to save Shelly from Primrose. Still wanting to believe Shelly to be dead, Karson angrily refuses to help and reveals his true colors, claiming he is only interested in Shelly's collectables. Terry and the others were shocked and angered by Karson's betrayal, when he reveals that Primrose is actually working for him now, and that he persuaded him, to help him steal Shelly's items and reward him with bananas. Enraged with Karson's plot, Terry ordered his friends to attack Karson, only to get tied up by him. Karson leaves to steal Shelly's collectables, taking Terry's friends with him. Terry tries to untie his friends, only for Karson to knock him out, preventing him from interfering in his scheme.
Meanwhile back at the house, Shelly's fear turned into joy, as he was introduced to a friendly tie dyed bear named Sherri, who enjoys Shelly's visit. Shelly told her the whole story about his amazing adventure he was having, and that he needs to find a way to help his friends. Sherri encourages him to follow his heart, and that he'll be able to defeat Primrose. The next morning, Terry woke up and found he was all alone, until he met Hearty-eye the blue unicorn. She told Terry that she had just heard the news that Karson and Primrose were lost and that they're nowhere to be found, Terry tells her that there is always hope, and that they'll be able to find a way to set things right. Shelly returns, having heard Terry's words of wisdom, He and Terry reconcile with each other. When Steak and Furry arrives, they are happy to see Shelly and Terry back together again and Shelly apologizes to Steak for his jealousy towards him, when he was introduced to a Blue Dolphin named D.W. (which stands for Dolphin and Walrus.). He tells them that he can also turn into a brown Walrus, much to their amazement. Before Shelly and Terry can find a way to rescue his friends, Shelly had found a threatening note from Karson, saying that he'll be dead if Karson ever saw his face again, Shelly realizes that Karson was after his collectables the whole time, and needs to stop him before he takes them away, Steak, Furry, Heart-eye, D.W. and Sherri joins Shelly and Terry on their quest to defeat Karson and Primrose.
Meanwhile at the villains' new hideout, Karson and his minions (including Primrose and Toothy) loaded Shelly's collectables in crates and Karson plans to keep them all for himself, with Spotty and the others still tied up. When Robbie tells Karson that Shelly is still alive and that he'll stop him, Karson insists that Shelly is "dead" and intends to prove to everyone that he is, even if it means killing him to do so. Spotty warns him that he'll be sorry when Shelly and Terry returns, then Karson scoffs at his warning, by claiming that they've got nothing on him. Toothy alerts Karson claiming that Shelly and Terry are coming, which proved Karson wrong. When Karson saw Shelly and Terry coming to rescue their friends, he orders his minions to finish them off, before he makes his escape. While D.W. and the others battle Karson's henchmen, Terry and Shelly untie Spotty, Tiger Stripe, Robbie, Eddie, Sharkey Jr. and Inky and they help the others defeat Karson's minions. Shelly ran inside and confronts Karson, who is frustrated because Shelly is supposed to be dead, but Shelly tells him that some things don't make a living. Enraged, Karson attacks Shelly, who fights back. Outside, Toothy tries to kill Inky, Robbie and Steak, but Hearty-eye kicks him with her back hoofs and Inky and Robbie sent Toothy falling to his death. Back inside, Shelly tells Karson that it's over and that all of his stuff is not his, but Karson retorts by foolishly claiming that he's going to enjoy taking all of Shelly's stuff, then Terry's, Bacon's and Sharkey's stuff, and that he'll even get rich, he also taunts Shelly, saying that he won't be around anymore and that he will succeed in killing him, as the fight continues.
Meanwhile Primrose tries to finish off Terry and Tiger Stripe, when D.W. defeats him by using his Walrus form to push Primrose off the edge, causing him to fall to his death as well. Terry and the others celebrate the defeat of Primrose, Toothy and most of Karson's minions, Furry tells Terry that Shelly might need his help and Terry goes to Shelly's rescue. Meanwhile, Karson weakens Shelly and attempts to kill him, but Terry blows Karson away with his wings, saving Shelly's life as usual. Terry and Shelly flew away and landed on safe ground, reuniting with all of their friends as they retrieve Shelly's collectables. Shelly and Terry embrace each other, and hoped that nothing bad will ever happen to them again. Suddenly, filled with rage, Karson tries one last attempt to kill Shelly. Terry and the others intervened, but he fought back. Just as he was about to throw Shelly off the edge, Terry and the others pulled Shelly back, preventing Karson from trying to kill Shelly as the tug-a-war ensues. Karson, now losing what's left of his sanity, tries to force them to let go of Shelly, so he can finally kill him and make off with his collectables. Shelly tells Terry out of fear that he doesn't want to lose him again and Terry comforts Shelly, telling him that he won't lose him. The final struggle ends when D.W. sends the debris of Toothy's crane and an already-opened-crate crashing down on Karson. This crash has forced him to let Shelly go, as Karson falls to his death with the debris crushing him on impact, while the rest of his remaining henchmen raced down and saw Karson's dead corpse buried under a huge pile of junk, they then spotted Shelly, Terry and the others at the top and made a run for it, never to be seen again. Shelly, Terry and all of their friends once again celebrate the defeat of Karson and his goons as they all head for home.
Back at home, Shelly, Terry and the other animals made sure that Shelly's collectables were safe and sound. While Spotty and the League with Furry as a new member (replacing Karson as well), are preparing a hunt for new things to add their collection. Shelly and Terry were invited to the house of Crush the blue octopus for a swim, Sherri, Heart-eye D.W. and Steak wished them the best of luck, as they leave. Terry and Shelly tells Spotty that they'll be back after their done swimming, Spotty responds and assures them that everything will turn out alright at the end. The film ends with Shelly and Terry leaving their home to swim at Crush's house.
In the post credits scene, Sherri and Heart-eye were seen finishing their artwork and hangs it on the wall.
