Shelly and Terry: The Big League is the sequel to the 2020 film "Shelly and Terry, produced and distributed by Webkinz Studios themselves, which is its first time releasing the film independently without Drew G. Productions involvement since the studio's closure on April 2023 after the Best Pals Hand franchise ended, it was based on the film itself, and is released theatrically and on YouTube on September 27, 2024.
Storyline[]
The film begins with Shelly, Terry and his friends having the time of their life. Everything was going great, when Crawford and Jabaar popped out the trash cans, and made fun of Shelly and Terry. Spotty takes offence to the garbage duo's mockery, but Crawford insults him and intended on stealing loot from the creatures, as they continue to tease and throw trash at them. Finally fed up with their mistreatment towards Shelly and Terry, their friends arrive and angrily chase Crawford and Jabaar out of the trash, with Shelly yelling at the duo not to come back. With Crawford and Jabaar gone, everyone can have fun in peace.
Later one night, Inky informs Shelly and Terry that Karson is back and is about to steal Shelly's collectables again, Terry corrects her, but Inky explained that it must've been a different Karson. In order to prove her point, she lead them to what appears to be Karson, but it turned out to be a blue axolotl named Minerva just drinking some water. Minerva makes a good first impression, much to Inky disappointment about not seeing Karson. Largo appeared, claiming that he's new around the neighborhood and is please to meet Shelly and Terry. Minerva tells Shelly and Terry, that she had escaped from the crazy scientist's dissection of her body parts, and offers to move in with them, which they accept, despite Inky's disapproval.
Meanwhile in the alley, Crawford and Jabaar are plotting to get their revenge on Shelly and his friends for chasing them out. Jabaar saw the loot that the creatures have owned, and this gave Crawford an idea on how they're going to get back at the heroes and complete their collection of loot. Back at their home, Minerva and Largo were introduced to Shelly and Terry's league and other animals, while Inky remains unconvinced that Minerva is not Karson and continues to grow even more suspicious of Minerva's appearance. D.W. has informed Shelly that Crawford and Jabaar are stealing loot from the owners, Minerva and Largo joins Shelly's group, to Terry's appreciation and to Inky's chagrin, as they set out to catch the two trashcan crooks red-handed.
Just as Crawford and Jabaar are prepared to exact their revenge, Shelly and the gang arrived to put a stop to duo, only to get a surprise of their live, when Crawford and Jabaar are on their very own Trash Can with wheels. As the duo attempts to stomp out the league of heroes, Minerva volunteers with the help of Largo to trick the evil doers into to chasing them in another direction, which it worked. Shelly and Terry congratulates Minerva into such an amazing ambush, claiming that she makes a good member of the league. Inky was not please with Minerva's impressive work, and vows to get things her way.
The Next day, Murray, Robbie and Sharkey Jr. are enjoying themselves with online videos. Sherri and Hearty-eyes are able to relax, while Shelly, Terry, Minerva and Largo dance to the music. Inky's suspiciousness of Minerva slowly turns to jealousy of her, when Spotty questioned her for such a nasty attitude. Later, as sunset came, Crawford and Jabaar appeared for round two as they chase after the heroes with their rolling trash bin. Shelly and Terry managed to outrun them, while Inky was still ranting about Minerva not being a Karson imposter, only for Tiger Stripe to shut her up. Just as Crawford and Jabaar got closer, Spotty, Minerva, Largo and D.W. managed to stop the wheel-y bin, sending the duo flying towards the dumpster.
After Shelly and Terry congratule the four for such amazing strategy, D.W. and Hearty-eyes head for home, just as Minerva and Largo express their joy at helping Shelly and Terry defeat the bandits. Inky gets in a fit of jealous rage and falsely accuses Minerva of being a Karson impersonator. Having finally had enough of Inky's jealousy towards Minerva, Shelly and Terry angrily chide Inky, while voicing their frustration of her tantrums. Inky gets into a heated argument with them, which then ends with Inky screaming at Crawford and Jabaar to get Minerva, Shelly and Terry, only to be silenced by Robbie. Shelly and the others grabbed Inky and ran to the back for cover, before Crawford and Jabaar could find them.
Enraged, Shelly and Terry chew out Inky for her betrayal, yelling that she has deliberately marked her territory. Inky threatens to expose Minerva as a Karson imposter, which she is not. But Sherri stops Inky by punching her in the face, which she admits is not her style. By the time Crawford and Jabaar return, Inky angrily started chasing after Shelly and the gang, accompanied by Crawford and Jabaar. Luckily, Shelly and Terry are able to help them lose the trio at the other side. Filled with rage, Inky joins forces with the evil bandits and continues their chase. After pausing for a minute to catch their breathe, Shelly and his friends quickly managed to outrun, Inky, Crawford and Jabaar, with their skill. Shelly and the others stopped back at the spot where the tractor used to be, as Shelly and the others become exhausted by the chase. Shelly sits down and hangs his head in despair, saying that he doesn't know what to do, but Terry, Minerva and Largo comfort him, telling him, that there's always a chance to stop the bandits. With Shelly's spirits up again, He and his friends carried on with their mission, and raced back to stop the villains.
Back at the Alley, Crawford, Jabaar and Inky are getting ready to complete their revenge against Shelly and the league of heroes. When the gang ambushed the trio, they returned some of the loot to their rightful owners. Crawford, Jabaar and Inky arrived on the Wheel-y can and began chasing them to a the side of the wall, when Jabaar spotted some more loot and accidentally turns their can around, missing the heroes at the moment. Just as Shelly and his friends managed to get to safety, Inky, Crawford and Jabaar returned and chases them to a corner. Inky was about to finish Shelly, Terry, Minerva and the league off for good, but Crawford and Jabaar suddenly betray Inky by grabbing her and tossing her back to the heroes side. Inky is upset with them for not letting her complete her revenge, Crawford and Jabaar revealed that they have tricked her into joining forces with them, just to steal the loot from other creatures.
As the criminal duo left to steal more loot, Inky started crying and feeling remorseful for her actions. Shelly, Terry and Minerva witnessed what had just happened and approached before her. Still crying in defeat, Inky apologized to her friends for her jealousy and betrayal towards them, Shelly and the others accept her apology and comfort her. Shelly and the others then made a plan to stop Crawford and Jabaar from stealing the loot, starting with Robbie and Tiger Stripe distracting Crawford, Murray and Eddie getting Jabaar's attention and Spotty giving Steak and Sharkey Jr. the order to grab the stolen loot and return them to the owners, when they drop them. The plan was working out, as the team lead the duo towards Minerva, Largo and Inky who then, along with the others, give the evil duo a good beatdown, as Sharkey Jr. and Steak retrieve the stolen loot and return them to their owners. Minerva and Largo then allow Shelly and Terry with the help of Inky to defeat Crawford and Jabaar by sending them tumbling into a cage-type crate, being set up by Spotty. Sherri leads the chopper with a grappling hook to escort the imprisoned Crawford and Jabaar to jail, where they are arrested for their crimes.
Back at home, Everybody celebrated the defeat of the villianous duo, as they started dancing to a song that everybody knows. Minerva and Largo congratulate Inky for assisting them in beating the duo up, Even Inky was glad that Karson was already dead. Shelly and Terry are impressed with Inky, for finally getting over her jealousy of Minerva and Inky promises never to turn her back on her friends again. Shelly and Terry assumed each other that it was happy ending for all creatures, as the film ends.
After the closing credits, Minerva and Largo walked by and Largo tells the audience that they can go home now, before he catches up with Minerva.
