Ultimate Lightsaber Sounds HD

These are Star Wars/Skywalker Sound sound effects used in many Star Wars movies, and it is also used in other media besides the Star Wars franchise. The sounds were designed and created by Ben Burtt. According to Burtt, the lightsaber hums were created when mixing the hum of a 35mm movie projector with that of a television set with a faulty insulator.

The most common start-up lightsaber sound is a +12 pitch version of SCI FI - ROCKET BY from the Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library made by Sound Ideas.

The lightsaber hums is also includes the 1st half of MOTOR, CARTOON - LOW HUMMING MOTOR from the Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library.

The lightsaber hums are not to be confused with Quick Laser Zap Shor CRT051001, Explo Laser Low CRT051002, or Synthy Hums CRT051303.
