These are Skywalker Sound sound effects that were created by Randy Thom, and are not available on the Lucasfilm Sound Effects Library. These sound effects debuted/were first used in the motion-capture animated Christmas film, The Polar Express, for when the locomotive’s controls are being engaged or pulled back and forth. Since then, these sounds have mostly been used for machinery or other types of vehicles in projects that Skywalker Sound worked on. (post-2004)
