Max & Ruby is about two bunnies: Max, a rambunctious and determined three-year-old and his sister Ruby, a patient, goal-oriented and restrictive seven-year-old. The series takes place in a fictional town called Eastbunny Hop, in a universe populated by mostly bunnies and other creatures in the 1940s and 1950s. According to Wells, the series shows the relationship between Ruby, Max and the universal nature of sibling relationships.
