The origins of this whistle, claimed to be a "Sky Rocket", are to be confirmed, but it might've debuted in Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985). It is the most common falling sound in most media these days; it's occasionally used to accent fireworks launching.
This whistle is most often used by Hacienda Post and Jeff Hutchins. It is usually not used in most Advantage Audio projects, except for those with sound design by Jesse Aruda, Roy Braverman or Rich Danhakl, but previously it was also used in an episode of New Looney Tunes (Robert Duran?) and 2 episodes of Super Mario World (Paca Thomas).

May've been heard once in reverse in "Hole Lotta Trouble".)
The Proud Family (Heard in a very long form on "Forbidden Date" as one of the roller coaster operators ascends and descends thanks to the date's inflation, and as Bebe and Cece fall from the top of the loop-de-loop.)
The Ren & Stimpy Show (Used often for falling. Also used once in "Stimpy's Invention" for cheese flying into Stimpy's face and twice on Stimpy in "The Boy Who Cried Rat!" in and out of context.)
Timon & Pumbaa (Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services episodes only.)
The Tom and Jerry Show (Heard once in "Knighty Knight Knight" and "Yeti, Set, Go!", twice in "Pain For Sale" and thrice in "Jerry Rigged". Reversed edit heard once in "Faux Hunt". Sped-up edit heard once in "Duck Sitting".)
The Flintstones: On The Rocks (2001) (Heard twice in a very long form as the Flintstones' car goes off a cliff, and as the diamond falls down before getting caught by the hand of a cop.)

Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase (2001) (Heard thrice when the Phantom Virus is thrown toward Scooby & Shaggy, as Scooby pushes a boulder down, and as Fred and Cyber Fred jump off a roller coaster.)
