It's a series of bullets ricocheting that might've been created by Viktor Babushkin.

Originally a Mosfilm sound effect, it debuted on Operation Y and Shurik's Other Adventures on August 16, 1965. It then would go on to become a Weddington Productions/Technicolor Sound Services and/or Skywalker Sound sound effect to appear on a Lucasfilm production, More American Graffiti on August 3, 1979.

Then in 2008, The Hollywood Edge added this sound to The Premiere Edition Volume 10 library. After the bankruptcy of The Hollywood Edge in 2014, Sound Ideas took over to acquire this sound.
