This is a sound effect that originated as a Cinesound effect for The Heroes of Telemark (1965), before Technicolor Sound Services/Weddington Productions picked it up in 1981. It sounds a little similar to Sound Ideas, EXPLOSION, PLASTIC - PLASTIC EXPLOSIVE: CHARGE 01 and/or its relative recordings.
