Casualty, stylized as CASUAL+Y, is a British medical drama series that airs on BBC One on most Saturday nights (sometimes with a short break in the summer to make way for sporting coverage, however this is not the case). It is the longest-running emergency medical drama television series in the world, and the most enduring and heaviest medical drama shown on prime time television in the world. Created by Jeremy Brock and Paul Unwin, it was first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 6 September 1986. The original producer was Geraint Morris
